Starting todays treatment with a gentle cleanse, something immediately felt different

“Today we’re starting with the Cosmedix Purity Solution oil cleanser which is great for really removing absolutely all makeup and debris from the skin” Kate informed me ‘And following it up with the Purity detox scrub to really prep you up for whats to come’. Not a usual fan of physical exfoliation, I was sceptical, but the smoothness of the main exfoliator - environmentally friendly poppy seeds - moved across skin like a dream and was quickly whisked away, ready for treatment.

If you’ve already read about the latest addition to the Me Skin and Body menu, you’ll know the Luxe C3 Cocktail is all about deep nourishment and real relaxation. Using the brightening, replenishing powers of the 3 Cs of skin care - Vitamin C, Collagen and Copper peptides - the treatment is aimed at feeding vital ingredients to gently revitalise and return firmness and glow to tired, undernourished skin.

The acai lactic peel that follows gives an active, tingling sensation that reminds me that Kate means business. Like most parts of MSB treatments, this peel is customised to your skins needs, so for me and my needs, this step was a little more active as we knew my skin was OK with a higher percentage, and loved the hydrating and renewing benefits of a peel. Next? The real luxury begins.

'Sonophoresis is an ultrasonic vibration that can increase the absorption of vital ingredients, some up to one thousand times. This lets us get deeper in to the skin to ensure the treatment is doing its best to penetrate, and is suitable for all skin types’ Kate explains the science behind the tool she begins to use, but I’m too blissed out to care. The sonophoresis head is a smooth disc that softly beeps, and moves gently around your face working its magic, and feels absolutely heavenly. If you’re used to the tough love of micro, this will put you to sleep!

My tired eye area, dried out from wintertime heater use, were soothed with collagen eye pads while Kate began the real highlight of the treatment - Gently but firmly, my neck, shoulders and chest were massaged back to life after a long week of being hunched over a desk. Cleansed, refreshed and finished off with a healing copper peptide serum, I’m brought back to the real world feeling distinctly soothed.

Unlike the Manhattan Lift, where results were nearly immediate, the Luxe C3 Cocktail took about 2 days for me to show it’s true impact. But when it did, it was spectacular - Firm, radiant skin that hid the lack of sleep I was distinctly feeling. Acne marks and pigmentation were softened and my eye area had made a total comeback. Overall, the results were a total revitalisation.

While beautiful all year round, I would recommend trying the Luxe C3 this Winter if you are feeling the affects of dehydration, wind, indoor heating and poor eating habits. It’s a wonderful kick start and definitely one I hope to see on my treatment plan again in the future.
